8 Instant Pot recipes you’ll want to make this fall

I’m devoted to my Instant Pot. I bought it at a great discount on Cyber Monday several years ago and now I have no idea why I waited so long to jump on the Instant Pot train. If you don’t have an Instant Pot read about why you need one and when to get it here. The Instant Pot is the ultimate secret weapon in a mom’s battle for family meal time. You can put everything in, get it started, and walk away! No need to stand, stir, and watch the stove. Dinner practically makes itself and you can focus on time with your kids. Now as the weather cools down this season calls for comfort food.  By the time fall rolls around I start to crave soups, roasts, and pastas (just kidding I always crave pasta). So here are some of my favorite Instant Pot comfort food recipes along with some I found and can’t wait to try. I know these are Instant Pot recipes you’ll want to make this fall. Let’s get cooking!

  1. Instant Pot Goulash by Family Fresh Meals

“This Instant Pot Goulash has all the same great stuff my original Grandma’s Easy Goulash: lean ground beef, tomatoes, noodles, cheese, and plenty of zesty seasoning. And it cooks in about half the time of the original.” – Corey, Family Fresh Meals

I love instant pot pasta, and this is comfort food at its best! It is such a time saver to cook the sauce and pasta in the same pot. Add a simple salad and some crusty French bread for a yummy family dinner.

2. Instant Pot Pork Tenderloin with Gravy by 365 Days of Slow and Pressure Cooking

“I like to serve this Instant Pot pork tenderloin with gravy, some roasted red potatoes and rice or noodles. Both taste great with the amazing gravy. I also like to serve the pork with a salad or some roasted broccoli. The leftovers (if you have any) taste great as lunch the next day!” – Karen, 365 Days of Slow and Pressure Cooking

One of my favorite things to cook in the Instant Pot is pork tenderloin. It always comes out so tender and juicy.

3. Instant Pot Chicken and Dumplings by One Happy Housewife

“Chicken and dumplings are probably the most comforting food I’ve ever eaten. The tasty chicken, the sweet veggies, and of course, the dumplings… Oh my gosh, do I love those dumplings! This dish has a special place in my heart because my late mother-in-law would make her own extraordinary chicken and dumplings recipe when our family would visit. This Instant Pot chicken and dumplings delivers all the soul-nourishing comfort and deliciousness that you’d expect of this quintessential comfort food.” – Valerie, One Happy Housewife

Is anything better than this classic comfort food? Again cooking everything in the same pot makes for easy clean up! As a note the recipe doesn’t mention that the chicken is already cooked, but make sure you are using cubed cooked chicken.

4. Instant Pot White Chicken Chili by Aunt Bee’s Recipes

What’s great about this recipe is that it uses chicken thighs which are so much more tender than chicken breasts.

5. Instant Pot Pumpkin Bites by No.2 Pencil

“Adapted from my favorite Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffins, these Pumpkin Bites are the perfect fall treat for cooking up in the Instant Pot. I have made these several times in the past two weeks to perfect the recipe, and each time, my family has snatched them up while still hot. The pumpkin bread is soft and flavorful and the cream cheese filling is a delicious contrast.” – Melissa, No.2 Pencil

Ok in all honesty I haven’t tried these yet, but one of my new year’s resolutions is going to be making desserts in my Instant Pot, something I have never done. I know most people usually make a resolution to lose weight but I’m a rebel that way. If you have the silicone molds you should make these right now! Don’t they look delicious? Or if you don’t have them you can join me in watching for a good deal on Black Friday!

6. Instant Pot Pumpkin Macaroni and Cheese by Life Made Sweeter

“Mac and cheese works great for busy weeknights and making it in the Instant Pot is perfect for those days when you don’t want to fuss over a hot stove. And if you’re not a fan of pumpkin, you can easily swap out the pumpkin for another tasty fall ingredient like Instant Pot Sweet Potato Macaroni and Cheese or Instant Pot Butternut Squash Macaroni and Cheese.” – Kelly, Life Made Sweeter

Pumpkin, pumpkin, and more pumpkin – that’s my motto from Labor Day to Christmas. I will add pumpkin to almost anything, and I am first in line to try every new pumpkin item Trader Joe’s creates. So adding pumpkin to mac and cheese can only make it better!

7. Instant Pot Sourdough Bread by Living Sweet Moments

Moments There’s something so wonderful about the smell of fresh baked bread. While this recipe requires both the Instant Pot and oven, it’s totally worth it. Read the full post here on making this bread recipe.

8. Instant Pot Pot Roast by What Molly Made

“This recipe can be made with frozen roast and is complete with vegetables for an easy, healthy dinner. It’s even Whole30 approved!” – Molly, What Molly Made

There’s nothing I love more than cooking a full meal in my Instant Pot, one that includes the protein and veggie sides. Not needing to dirty extra dishes or think about more cooking is awesome. My next favorite thing is when I can cook from frozen. How many times have you forgotten to defrost dinner? I’ve done it more times than I can count.

THIS MOMMY TRIED IT AND YOU CAN TOO!
